This 4weeks intensive full-time program is designed for bilingual individuals, who want to learn the principles of interpretation and translation, developing their language skills, and /or who may want to move to the next level of our diploma program, which provides opportunities to learn more advanced skills and techniques of interpretation and translation and to develop language skills even more in order to pursue their profession in the field of interpretation and translation or international business.

This program is taught by a bilingual, experienced, and TESL Canada certified instructor, who supervised as an in-flight Interpreter in an American airline company, and who pursued her career in International business sectors in Japan and Canada.

The program includes the followings:

Multi-Track Digital Recording System
For better quality, CanPacific College provides Multi-Track Digital Recording System in the class to provide an atmosphere where all students are able to listen to a sentence or a speech digitally. This system digitally records student’s interpretation for rehearsal or review and further analysis by students and instructors. This system will help students to increase their abilities in listening and speaking with accuracy and speed.

     * Individualized recorder and tapes, will be provided to each student for daily practice on the first day of the class.

Who is this program for?
 Student A: By taking this program, I would like to persuade my career in
the Interpretation / Translation professions or in the International Business sectors.                  

Student B: I want to take different approaches to expand more vocabularies and to improve more speaking, listening, reading, and writing through interpretation and translation tasks and activities.

Program length: 4 weeks (Certificate Program)
Entry requirements: TOEIC 650, TOEFL 500 /CBT 173, or CanPacific College entrance exam 
Start date: Every 2 month
Instruction hours: 25hrs/week
Course schedule: Full-time:  From 9:00am to 3:00pm (Mon ~ Thu) 
                                                     From 9:00am to 1:00pm (Fri)
