Some people prefer to communicate with friends via text or chat messages. They’re short and don’t take that much time to type, which is probably accounted for by all of the abbreviations and acronyms used by the writers of the said messages.
Please note that slang mustn’t be used in any type of formal situation, such as in business emails or workplace meetings.
LOL – laughing out loud. You might have seen LOL used. Some might even say that it’s old news. In any case, it is used to respond to something really funny.
