Good Friday, great Friday, holy Friday & black Friday is a Christian holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary. Good Friday marks the day when wrath and mercy met at the cross. That’s why Good Friday is so dark and so good. It’s on April 10th& always the Friday before easter. This day is a day of mourning & quiet prayers for many Christians in church. Some Christians fast on this day. It helps them remember the sacrifice Jesus made for them on the say of crucifixion. It is traditional to eat warm hot cross buns on Good Friday. Adults shouldn’t work, they don’t eat or drink anything containing vinegar or nettles. No house work should be done & do not eat meat.
